Don Surber: Liberals pay the price for hating Trump
Another great article from Mr. Surber....
Don Surber: Liberals pay the price for hating Trump: President Donald John Trump is one cool cat. And liberals finally are discovering this.

Why do so many people like Donald Trump?
What is it about President Trump that people like? I did not vote for him in the Republican primary in 2016. There were 3 or 4 Republicans that I preferred more than Trump (I voted for Scott Walker). But I did vote for our President in November of 2016 not knowing if he would do a good job or not, but I sure as heck wasn't voting for Hillary!
The President held another rally this week (in New Jersey) and it was a packed house. Again!
Here is a very good article written by Chris Stigall that's worth your time (3 minutes) and explains pretty well why a lot of people like Donald J. Trump.

The Manhattan Transfer from 1987
I have been a huge fan of The Manhattan Transfer for many years. Here's one of their concerts from 1987....
Crank up the volume!!
Studio Jams #6 - "Misty"
I don't know how many videos there are in this "Studio Jams" series but the few that I have seen are great! Here's an up-tempo, jazzy version of the ballad MISTY...
Just WOW!
I love a Hammond B-3 organ!
Here's the info from the video -
"Here is one of several tracks from Studio Jams Episode #6, recorded at the legendary Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia, PA (USA). It features guitarist Larry Carlton, bassist Gerald Veasley, drummer Byron Landham, saxophonist Chris Farr, percussionist Emedin Rivera and organist Joey DeFrancesco. This session was taped on April 30, 2003. For more on the series, go to www.StudioJams.com."
CNN Airs Free Commercial For Trump Campaign
Here's a "news" article from The Babylon Bee ...which you probably know is a satirical newspaper. Except that most of the time, what they print contains quite a bit of truth, e.g. the real video from CNN...
Don Lemon just loses it. Funny stuff!

After two days of defense, Schiff's impeachment ploy is becoming clear
After two days of defense, Schiff's impeachment ploy is becoming clear: The president's lawyers finally got the chance to present their case in defense of him on Saturday. They did not take much time, but their first few hours virtually destroyed the Schiff/Nadler/Pelosi fiction on which they have based th...

So the "historically low unemployment rate" is now a bad thing?
Seems to me this would be a good problem....

"TRUMP MAY BE THE MOST LOVING PRESIDENT EVER"
If you're not reading Terry Thompson's blog, let me strongly recommend that you do. Check out this short essay (that I totally agree with).... Trump-may-be-the-most-loving-president-ever
You can play music all of your life!
You'll see that the previous post is titled "Too Old To Play Saxophone" by Jay Metcalf who has a great YouTube channel called Better Sax. He has dozens of interesting & informative videos posted. (An aside, I could spend all day watching YouTube videos)
The title of this post says "You can play music all of your life!" And I know, because I am getting up there in years and I direct a band of retirees, some of whom are in their eighties and still play an instrument pretty well. Check out this video of the Hot Springs New Horizons Band. I have been directing this band since January 2006 and we have a lot of fun playing around the Hot Springs area, mainly at retirement communities, but also an occasional civic event.

A new year, a new blog.
I have been thinking about writing my own blog for some time now, so here goes! The topics will vary and I hope will be interesting (they will be to me).
One reason for this blog is to write about and link to news items concerning political events in our great country. I know there are a few of my Facebook friends that do not like some of the things that I have posted on FB in the past. Anyway... I hope I can find the time to post regularly here about the things that concern me.
One thing that impressed me this week was President Trump speaking at the March for Life yesterday, becoming the 1st president to do so. It was a great speech!
Well, I am going to wrap up blog post #1. Later......
